The experience of the application of contemporary methods of calculation of queuing systems is analyzed. In particular, the role of highest moments of service time distribution and inter-demands intervals of the incoming flow is examined. Also is investigated the effect of productivity splitting and scale effect in the multichannel systems and priority assignment. Practical unfitness of Erlang formulas and categorical need for implementation (and teaching) advanced methods of queuing theory is shown.
